Never Give Up!

This is to all the ladies out there who are genuinely good women who have been burned way too many times than what we would ever deserve in this life time. Burned by men, that is. After so many years of this, we reach a point where we can no longer distinguish between the sheep and the wolf. I don't know about you, but for myself, I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong if I'm doing anything wrong at all. If anything, I'm doing everything right. I'm friendly, bubbly and energetic. I laugh and smile. My appearance is attractive with a sense of fashion and femininity. I say the right things and mean them from my heart. I give the guy space. I don't blow his phone up with text messages and calls. In fact, most of the time, I wait for the man to contact me and chase me like it was naturally meant to be. Oh, and with flirting in between.

With that said, i do believe, ladies, that sometimes where we go wrong is our poor judgement in men. This is along with the fact that we want so badly for someone to truly love us, that we only pay attention to the good attributes and ignore the red flags swaying vigorously in front of our very eyes. I'm here to let you know that there are good men out there who we can eventually meet and call our heroes. We just need to focus on keeping a positive attitude and learn the signs of a toxic man versus the non-toxic one. Ladies, listen to your gut instinct. It's always right!

Perseverance

Isn't it funny how life has its twists and turns and every day is a learning lesson. In my life I have tried to be a good example for my children. Whenever one of those twists and turns happen to me in my life personally, I persevere every time. When you don't get that promotion at work, you don't give up...you keep trying. And when that loved one passes you mourn, but, naturally keep going and striving and overcoming. And when you haven't found the right love in your life, you keep looking. My son is five years old and I've been teaching him not to give up on things. Not to get angry, but to keep trying. I taught him the word "perseverance" and I hope that he will use this word throughout his own life. We are taught to roll with the punches and to get back up when we have fallen. To add a little humor to this, comedian, Sebastian Maniscalco, says "keep it moving, keep it moving". As if you're in the sandwich line at Subway. He says " run it through the garden". And keep it moving". He's hilarious, by the way. You should check him out on Netflix sometimes. Well, I always choose to keep it moving. And my life so far has actually been run through the garden. A garden full of emotions and disappointments. To look at the bright side, there are more positives than negatives in my life. And I have to look at that and know that my life is good. My goal is to instill this in my children as well. So that they will be able to overcome any obstacles that may arise in their lifetime.

Humility

Hello everyone. Lately, I have been inspired through personal experiences to touch on something important that few people really stop and think about…“humility”. So, it is up to parents and school teachers to guide children at home, school, and church. And quite frankly, a lot of children out there are not taught these things at home and left at their own device. Humility is a character trait that all of us need to possess in order to live our everyday lives with peace in our heart, soul and mind.

Humility is defined, according to Wikipedia, as: Humility (adjectival form: humble) is the quality of being modest, reverential, even politely submissive, and never being arrogant, contemptuous, rude or even self-abasing. Humility, in various interpretations, is widely seen as a virtue in many religious and philosophical traditions, being connected with notions of transcendent unity with the universe or the divine, and of egolessness.

This character was instilled in me as a child at home and in church. As a small child, this word may not have been in my vocabulary, but the characteristic was part of my life stemming from lessons learned about putting others before myself, knowing when to admit I am wrong, and thinking things through before speaking, etc. In other words, putting others feelings into consideration. The bible teaches many great things and through these we all are capable of gaining great wisdom.

For those out there who possess this quality and know exactly what I’m talking about, my hat is off to you. For those who have no clue, this is just that. I challenge each and every one of you to treat others the way you want to be treated and put others before yourself.

Phillipians 2:1-11
